Trade Shows

KUKA presented the sensitive characteristics of the LBR iiwa and the possibilities for human-robot collaboration at the MTMS-Machineering 2017. The trade fair for Machines, Tools and Technologies for Smart Production and Engineering took place from the 22nd – 24th of March 2017 in Brussels. KUKA combines intelligence and sensitivity in a collaborative robot: the LBR iiwa. One of the applications showed how the lightweight robot draws a perfect picture of the KMR iiwa with a marker. The LBR iiwa has joint torque sensors in all of its seven axes. With these joint torque sensors, the LBR iiwa can reduce its level of force and speed instantly in case of contact. Therefore the robot can also handle delicate components without causing any damage to them. A special highlight was the application that showed the skills of the LBR iiwa in direct collaboration with humans. Two robots grabbed a shopping bag and provided it. Afterwards it was filled by our staff with a present for our visitors. We work hand-in-hand for you and are pleased with the many visitors at our booth at the MTMS-Machineering 2017. From March 14 -16 KUKA presented its knowhow at the LASER World of PHOTONICS 2017 in Shanghai, China. The main trade fair in Asia for the photonics industry is particularly tailored to the requirements of the Chinese market. The LASER World of PHOTONICS is the only fair in the Asian region that covers the wide spectrum of the photonics: from research and development to the application in the industry – in individual components or in entire production plants. And KUKA Industries is right at the forefront. The visitors were particularly excited about the exhibited application. A gantry robot in combination with the friction stir welding technology had a strong appeal and attracted the visitors´ attention for the KUKA booth. In this joining process a rotating pin is traversed along the contact surfaces between the workpieces. The frictional heat plasticizes the material, which is welded together. This process is used for example in automobile manufacturing, aerospace or in the electronics industry. Hence numerous visitors and potential international customers could convince themselves of the KUKA welding expertise and the customized solutions at the booth. At the Intec, the international trade fair for tool machines, production- and automation technology in Leipzig, KUKA Industries is showing their competence in the sector laser until the 10th of March in hall 2 booth C04 – ranging from individual component to entire laser cell. KUKA combines welding expertise with Industrie 4.0 know-how in a unique application. The new KR Cybertech welds industrial sheet metal and is thereby digitally connected with a process database. By augmented reality the actual plant is connected with the process data in order to check the quality of the production. By live view on a mobile device the worker can immediately see the information about the quality of the welding seam on the component part. Also KUKA Industries presents in Leipzig how flexible a gluing cell can be used. Gluing cells that are particularly used in the automotive industry for joining window panes and car tops can furthermore be utilized in other branches like for example in adhesive application solutions of 2D- and 3D-contours. The established LaserSpy series for reliable monitoring of double-walled laser safety cabins is getting even more efficient and is equipped with a larger radius of monitoring. We are looking forward to your visit at the Intec 2017 in Leipzig! VN:F [1.9.22_1171]please wait...Rating: 0.0/5 (0 votes... Read More
Time is flying. The Hannover fair is in full swing. This year many solutions for the industry 4.0 are in focus. Topics like Human Robot Collaboration (HRC), Mobility and Networking play a major role. Especially our Coffe 4.0 application amazes our visitors and spoils with tasty coffee in the sign of industry 4.0. Coffee 4.0: The KR Agilus as a Barista Whether  you add milk and sugar or prefer it unsweetened and strong, everyone likes their coffee in a particular way. That is why we are preparing coffee in a new way: by having two robots serve the drink as mechanical baristas – from order taking through to preparation and serving. Customized products in industrial manufacturing With the Coffee 4.0 application, KUKA is demonstrating what is already possible today. All core functionalities of networked digital production in a smart factory are implemented in a fully operational manner. The required production and system data are thus stored in the Cloud. By scanning the barcode the mechanical barista receives the customer order. The customer used this barcode already before to establish his coffee preferences. The benefits are obvious. For example, system data can be called up from anywhere on a mobile device, maintenance requiremments can be predicted and the Service team can immediately be informed of any irregularities via the Internet. The showcase can be transferred at almost any industrial production process. Instead of grinding and brewing, it could be welding, adhesive bonding, pouring, laser cutting and much more. Happy new year everybody!  We just started in the new exhibition season 2016 and proudly present our booth at EUROGUSS, the International Trade Fair for Die Casting.  It is Europe’s biggest trade fair for die casting and takes place from January 12-14 in Nuremberg. A highlight at our booth is our “Bier Paulii” – a LBR iiwa, which can not just pour wheat beer with a perfect head, but also rinses the glass and swings the last remnants of yeast from the bottle.  If you want to see our Bier Paulii in action, you are welcome to visit our stand (Hall 6, 309). We look forward to seeing you!   VN:F [1.9.22_1171]please wait...Rating: 0.0/5 (0 votes... Read More

Today is the second day of CIMT 2015, the China International Metal Tool Show – we are here with a multicultural team from China, United Kingdom and Germany. On our booth our colleagues from Shanghai demonstrate the friction welding process regularly.  Furthermore you can see components made by different welding processes or come around for a meeting in our oversized KUKA Genius.   [show slideshow] VN:F [1.9.22_1171]please wait...Rating: 0.0/5 (0 votes...
