The department Marketing | Communications was the first station in my second apprenticeship year at the KUKA Systems GmbH. In parallel with the issues of the vocational school, I get to know the practical side here.
In this department the costumers are in the focus, what I learned immediately in October. We went to the trade fair ‘EuroBLECH 2014’ in Hanover. After lasting several weeks preparation with trade concept planning, customer invitations, packing of the exhibition stand materials, it also went off. In Hanover I realized how important fair appearances are to win new customers, but to strengthen also existing contacts. With the post processing of the exhibition I dealt exactly with our contact data bank. This had to be administered and be passed on to our distribution colleagues (lead management).
Every day I search in the incoming magazines and newspapers for interesting KUKA Systems text or user reports. About that I write files which are filed intern. All of them show how well-known and popular KUKA Systems is.
I also learnt to pay attention how our company logo is used. In our ‘Corporate design manual’ it is exactly regulated how our KUKA logo has to look. Our partners need an approval, before they may use our logo.
With my participation in the editorial staff meetings for the employee’s newspaper ‘OrangeNews’ it became clear to me: at KUKA team spirit and cohesion is capitalized. The editors intensely deal with the subjects and the constitution of journalistic texts with which all colleagues are held worldwide always up-to-date. Before the publication the proofreading stands also for me on the agenda.
All in all, no day is trivial and always brings a new and instructive duty for me.
