Wearing Jeans on Fridays at KUKA Systems North America is supporting various local and national charities.
Over the last two years, KUKA NAO has allowed its employees to wear jeans on Friday with a $5 donation. A local or national charity is selected each month from employee recommendations. Most charities selected have personal connections with inspiring stories. The American Cancer Society and Susan G. Koman’s Race for the Cure, for example, have been selected annually to honor the KUKA NAO employees and/or their family members who have courageously beat cancer. Donations in December are also combined with the toys employees donate for the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tot campaign. KUKA’s donations have helped hundreds of children have a very special holiday.
Since its inception, KUKA NAO has collected over $16,000 just by offering its employees an option to wear denim jeans. Donations have been distributed between 18 different charities including:
- American Cancer Society – Relay for Life
- Sterling HeightsPolice/Michigan Special Olympics
- MacombCountyRotating Emergency Shelter
- Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
- Fallen Soldiers Fund
- CDLK5 Children’s Research
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
- Toys For Tots
- HaitiRelief Fund
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Special thanks to all our employees who took part on our Casual Friday and we’re looking forward to donate again this year!
