The 22nd day of the Saxons from 06th to 08th of September was greatly celebrated in Schwarzenberg. This could be received approximately 250,000 visitors in the area. At the beginning a presentation was held in our great illuminated production hall with the President of the German state parliament, Dr. Matthias Rößler and the Mayor wife Heidrun Hiemer. The guests, included in addition to the Saxon Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich, several current Cabinet Ministers. Both, the President and the Mayor, acknowledged KUKA and congratulated the 115 anniversary including 20 years with KUKA.
Innovations and inventions of the regional economy were presented at the Saxon inventor Street in the village of Schwarzenberg. Here, the Tools and Dies Division presented with a large booth the development of the tools from the first VW Beetle up to the current VW Golf. A copy of both vehicles was on display at our stand. On Saturday afternoon, Michael Ziemert welcomed the German Defense Minister Dr. Thomas de Maizière and the Saxon Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich on the KUKA booth and informed in detail about our activities.
